PROGRAM ANALYST

APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Maryland Army National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Current members of the Maryland National Guard Nationwide applicants willing to become DST and gain MDNG membership Military Grades: ENLISTED E4-E6 OFFICER O1-O2 *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance This is an obligated position; the selectee will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment right to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her USERRA rights, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management. Experience using computer and automation systems SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience which has provided a working knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience analyzing, interpreting and developing policies and procedures of local management QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled. This position MAY be eligible for recruitment, relocation, or retention incentives, pending availability of funding and management request.
