About This Role

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the Specialized Experience Requirements. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-09 level: One full year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 performing ALL the following: Collecting, verifying, and adjusting information expressed numerically or graphically; AND Analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and preparing reports after interpretation have been approved. Substitution of education requirements allowed are outlined below. GS-9: 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Master's degree or Master's or equivalent graduate degree. NOTE: Transcript(s) must be provided. -OR- Combination of graduate education and professional experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level. NOTE: Transcript(s) must be provided. IMPORTANT: A full year of work is 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited based on time spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
