About This Role

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: "Performing mid-level to advanced analyses for a wide range of requests, including difficult or unusual assignments in application software, database management systems, computer hardware systems or other technical assessments". 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: "Providing customer support by assisting in troubleshooting customer issues by performing operational execution, configuration and maintenance of application software code and systems." 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: "Articulating and communicating to the team the assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion". 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: "Solving technical problems to restore operational systems to full capacity. "In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience managing portfolio managements concepts, principles, and best practices for change, service asset, and confirmation management. Experience analyzing IT Procurement Requirements and processing reviews for the Navy Information Technology Approval System. Experience inspecting requests for Navy Enterprise Services within established authority and budgetary constraints. Experience utilizing a wide range of applications, operating systems, protocols, and equipment with cloud computing service models. Experience processing business engineering concepts and methods in order to identify and implement improvements. Experience interpreting the appropriate methods to achieve successful and timely completion within budget while monitoring relevant regulations to resolve issues. Experience applying industry best practices to support IT lifecycle management. Experience applying IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices, including DOD and DON policies. Experience creating documents, reports, and briefs utilizing Microsoft office 365 applications.
