Telecommunications Engineering Manager

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field and 7-9 years of related work experience or equivalent work experience 3+ years of supervisory experience in a related field Knowledge of local exchange carrier and inter-exchange carrier services and contract management. Knowledge of telecommunications service billing, voice mail systems, standards based video conferencing, and standards based telecommunication systems. Knowledge of private branch exchange (PBX) implementations to include hardware/software components, trunking issues, configuration options, and security. Knowledge of all aspects of information systems. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in related field PMP certification Experience in Avaya systems Security Requirement: This position requires that the applicant obtain and maintain an applicable U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. This position is located in the Enterprise Infrastructure Directorate, House Information Resources (HIR), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House). The Enterprise Infrastructure Directorate provides engineering and technical support in the areas of Voice Communications and Administration of both the DC and District Office telecom environments.
