MANAGER

This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by an General Engineering (0801 Series), an Civil Engineering (0810 Series) Mechanical Engineer (0830-series), an Aerospace Engineering (0861 Series), or an Navel Architecture (0871-series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 Equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as professional engineer: providing technical leadership to a multidisciplinary organization of engineers, scientists, and support personnel; executing long-range planning and managing resources in accordance with Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) operations and Navy administrative policies; directing Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation (RDT&E) programs focused on weapons effects, platform protection concepts, and advanced numerical simulations (e.g., DYSMAS, NESM, ABAQUS); and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders across government and industry to support Navy acquisition processes. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
