Diese Rolle ist für dich spannend, wenn du Engineering nicht nur verwalten, sondern aktiv gestalten willst. Du bleibst nah am Code, arbeitest eng mit Product und Business zusammen und baust gleichzeitig Strukturen, in denen ein starkes Entwicklerteam zuverlässig liefern kann.

Gesucht wird keine reine Reporting-Rolle und kein klassischer „Slide-Manager“. Gesucht wird jemand, der technische Qualität, Teamführung und pragmatische Umsetzung miteinander verbindet.

Aufgaben

• Du führst ein Engineering-Team fachlich und organisatorisch und sorgst für klare Prioritäten, Verantwortlichkeiten und Umsetzung.
• Du bleibst hands-on tätig: Architekturentscheidungen, Code Reviews, technische Konzepte und eigene Implementierung gehören weiterhin zu deinem Alltag.
• Du übersetzt geschäftliche Anforderungen in realistische technische Pläne und machst Fortschritte, Risiken und Abhängigkeiten transparent.
• Du arbeitest eng mit Product, Business und der Unternehmensführung zusammen und vertrittst Engineering in wichtigen Abstimmungen.
• Du führst regelmäßige 1:1s, gibst konstruktives Feedback und unterstützt Entwickler dabei, fachlich und persönlich zu wachsen.
• Du bringst Struktur in Entwicklungsprozesse, Release-Abläufe, Teamrituale und Incident-Handling, ohne unnötige Bürokratie aufzubauen.
• Du unterstützt bei Hiring, Teamaufbau und der Weiterentwicklung einer produktiven Engineering-Kultur.
• Du hinterfragst Anforderungen kritisch, priorisierst technische Machbarkeit sauber ein und sorgst dafür, dass Engineering und Product an einem Strang ziehen.

Qualifikation

• Du bringst mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung in der professionellen Softwareentwicklung mit.
• Du hast bereits Entwickler geführt oder fachlich gesteuert, zum Beispiel als Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Senior Engineer mit Teamverantwortung, Founding Engineer oder in einer vergleichbaren Rolle.
• Du möchtest weiterhin technisch arbeiten und hast keine Lust, dich vollständig vom Code zu entfernen.
• Du hast ein solides Verständnis für moderne Backend-Architekturen, APIs, Cloud-Infrastruktur und produktionsreife Softwareentwicklung.
• Erfahrung mit Python oder vergleichbaren Backend-Technologien ist ein Plus, aber kein Muss, wenn du dich schnell in neue Stacks einarbeitest.
• Erfahrung mit KI-nahen Produkten, Automatisierung, datengetriebenen Workflows oder modernen AI-Integrationen ist von Vorteil.
• Du kommunizierst klar, verbindlich und verständlich, sowohl mit Entwickler als auch mit nicht-technischen Stakeholdern.
• Du triffst Entscheidungen, erklärst sie sauber und übernimmst Verantwortung für deren Umsetzung.
• Fließendes Deutsch und Englisch sind für diese Rolle erforderlich.
