About This Role

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience coordinating and maintaining liaison with military, federal, and local agencies concerning airspace utilization, flying operations, aircraft emergencies, search and rescue operations, and natural disasters. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience processing flight plans, conducting necessary research and/or queries in the coordination of scheduled flights. Experience assisting the Airfield Operations Officer in the research and evaluation of airfield data, specific to airfield facilities, construction plans for the airfield, and changes/modifications- to airfield construction projects and/or priority adjustments. Experience participating in the scheduling of airfield activities with tenant and transient unit commands, requiring use of the airfield. Experience performing daily airfield inspections/checks for conditions, physical security, and force protection to ensure a safe airfield environment.
