SECURITY SPECIALIST (TITLE 5)

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of?Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to US citizens interested in helping the Department of the Air Force meet our mission requirements as a Security Specialist. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. NOTE: Must successfully complete all Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. NOTE: Must have a Secret clearance prior to appointment, and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI/SAP identifier. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS11: Must have at least one year experience at the GS-09 level in the normal line of progression through federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; experience in research and analysis reports on physical, information, computer, and personnel security; experience in conducting intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices that are necessary to accomplish intelligence functions in support of programs essential to state National Guard daily operations, training, and readiness missions; experience implementing policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information programs and to protect sensitive compartmented information resources; experience which demonstrates knowledge as a technical specialist on sensitive compartmented information security matters, as well as, other areas of classified security and classification guidance.
