About This Role

Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Managing and directing program operations for a major organizational unit, including planning, coordinating, and integrating initiatives across multiple offices or program areas, and ensuring alignment with agency-wide policies, guidance, and strategic priorities. Leading or supervising a team of professional staff, to include assigning work, establishing program objectives, setting performance standards, evaluating performance, addressing performance or conduct issues, and overseeing workload, timelines, and quality of work products. Developing, implementing, and monitoring program performance measures and metrics; collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to assess program effectiveness; and recommending or implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. Interpreting and applying federal, departmental, and agency policies, regulations, and guidance to program operations; resolving complex program issues or conflicting priorities; and developing or revising internal procedures or guidance when existing direction is insufficient. Managing a multidisciplinary communications team responsible for overseeing multiple social media accounts, creating video content, maintaining and updating the external .gov website and internal SharePoint sites, and designing graphics to support organizational messaging and outreach objectives. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 04/30/2026. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
