About This Role

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 1-2 years in a customer facing role with increasing responsibilities. High School or GED equivalent preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1-2 years of applicable experience and understanding of HR programs, practices, procedures, and related laws. 2 years of financial experience tracking budget execution and purchasing. Knowledge of various automated office systems and software programs (e.g., Lawson, Cornerstone, and PeopleSoft). Knowledge of org charting software. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability (KSA) and Competency Requirements: Demonstrated experience and understanding of compliance with all existing laws and historical precedents relating to appropriated funds. Knowledge of various automated office systems and software programs (e.g., Lawson, Cornerstone, Helix, and PeopleSoft). Ability to work with all levels of a multifaceted workforce as well as with sensitive and confidential information. Ability to provide administrative support, including organizing and maintaining records, databases, and file systems and ensuring data protection and confidentiality. Ability to coordinate and schedule workload to meet the needs of multiple HR programs. Knowledge of human resources operations, including personnel actions, position management, hiring, leave management, onboarding, and recruitment. Knowledge of basic analytics, project management, training, facilitation, and presentation principles and practices. All employees within CAO are expected to demonstrate the following general competencies: Accountability, Adaptability, Collaboration, Communication, Customer Orientation, Knowledge of Relevant Policies, Procedures, and Processes, Priority Management, and Problem Resolution. **Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance) and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only) The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff.
