You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level which includes: 1) Planning, developing, and/or implementing Operation Plans (OPLANS), Orders, and/or messages to support part of the deployment and employment of forces and/or capabilities within a Theater, 2) Interpreting and evaluating data such as studies, policy and procedures and regulations to identify operational and support requirements and 3) Communicating force and asset employment capabilities, limitations, impacts, risk, and risk mitigation to organizational leadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). About the Position: The incumbent works in the J332 Current Operations Branch of the J33 Current Operations Division within the J3 Operations Directorate of AFRICOM. The J332 Current Operations Branch supports the J3 Operations by monitoring, tracking and conducting near term coordination and orders production for ongoing current operations, exercises and activities such as security cooperation and engagements in Africa as assigned by the branch or division leadership.
