Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to manage a program or activity which encompasses workforce management, resource protection and fiscal responsibilities. Must have knowledge of general accounting or financial principals as well as cash handling experience. Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, MS Power Point; Access; Excel; Word) is required. Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise, train and schedule subordinates. Must have experience managing a retail operation for profit which may include merchandise display and managing inventory levels. POS system experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge of Kennel operations or related business is desired but not required. Must complete pre-vaccine rabies series within 60 days of employment. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation. About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Karing Kennels on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan.
