Instructional Systems Specialist

Qualifications Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (FV-I or FG/GS-13) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Experience analyzing and validating instructional content for technical occupations to prepare reports and recommendations on the use of new or improved content delivery methodologies. Experience in applying project management principles to lead and monitor the work of instructional designers tasked with developing training materials. Experience applying new Instructional System Design Methods and technologies such as experiential learning; blended learning to develop or maintain training material and curricula. This Team is responsible for setting the instructional design standards and structure, and for supporting the development of training materials for the delivery and modernization of technical training that meet requirements set by the Technical Operations Service Unit.
