INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrating the ability to protect and defend information and information systems to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability; 2)Assisting with planning and tracking configuration or requirement changes across the enterprise; 3) Applying basic knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation methods in order to troubleshoot and resolve customer problems; 4) Helping conduct threat and vulnerability assessments and contribute to risk determination and mitigation planning; and 5) Displaying foundational awareness of counterintelligence-related risks to ensure compliance with security requirements at the systems or Local Area Network (LAN) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.
