About This Role

You may qualify at the NH-03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 4 specialized experience listed below to be qualified: Applying National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) procedures, principles, and methods to analyze environmental impacts through Categorical Exclusions (CATEX), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS). Implementing Environmental Management System standards and environmental compliance requirements to an organization or project to minimize lifecycle environmental impacts. Ensuring compliance of Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of War (DOW) activities and programs with environmental laws and regulations. Responding to technical questions and articulating environmental requirements necessary to manage and support assigned programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This position is part of the Department of War (DoW), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for planning, administering, evaluating, and coordinating environmental compliance activities for a broad range of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) operations and activities within the MDA, Facilities Engineering Environmental Management Directorate.
