WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You must possess the Basic Requirement and Specialized Experience Requirement below to be qualified for this position. Basic Qualifications: You must possess one of the items listed below Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. or Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience. AND You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Assisting in researching and compiling data related to healthcare, public health, or health IT. Supporting data preparation and basic analysis using analytic or statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SPSS, or STATA). Assisting in summarizing and communicating findings to team members or stakeholders. Contributing to the development of reports, presentations, or web sites based on data analysis. Supporting the formulation of findings and recommendations based on analysis under guidance. OR PH.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
