ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, validating accounting data, analyzing unusual trends for corrective action, maintaining and researching records, preparing reports, and correcting coding or other errors that result in computer generated rejects GS-08 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level that provided skill applying basic principles of budgetary and cost accounting; ability to examine accounts and resolve difficult reconciliations; ability to reconstruct inaccurate accounts; and gather and organize information for inquiries. This is a Financial Management Level Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program. Certification Level 1: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action. This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This is an Indefinite GS-0525-08 ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1984000 and is part of the MO United States Property and Fiscal Office.
